I created this blog as part of a class I am attending at the University of Washington. During this class we will be looking at the myriad issues that become especially central in tough economic times with our two biggest examples being the Great Depression of the 1930s and the Great Recession of the early 2000's.

Hard Times…

Realization - Finale

I finally realize what the recession is about. In short, the recession is akin to the depression in that it is completely relative on a personal level. On a collective level it’s much different. When we are discussing economics it’s important to include relevance.

In regards to my interviewee she appears to have avoided the recession altogether or merely suffered a glancing blow. So I question whether there is more honor to preserver or to start anew. Certainly it’s all about you…
